Lansdowne Hill is a mixed-use proposal on the site of a former laundry. The proposal will act as a catalyst for future development and regeneration which will benefit future and existing residents. The site is divided into two buildings. The larger building is located to the east of the site forming the residential component of the scheme, with 51 apartments split between private, intermediate and social rented accommodation. Care was taken to produce an efficient floor plan using few apartment types while meeting the required daylight, privacy amenity requirements set out by Lambeth’s planners. Adding to local variety and choice, maisonettes are provided at ground floor with private rear gardens.
The smaller building contains 990 sq.m of commercial and office floor space. The building is highly flexible allowing for adaptation to suit future user need - a standardised office grid was placed across the building and the floorplates remain as open as possible.
