Planning permission granted for Maritime Gateway, Southampton

We were delighted to secure approval last night from Southampton City Council for our Maritime Gateway masterplan on behalf of Packaged Living and Fiera Real Estates.

Located opposite the train station, the proposals will be a true gateway into Southampton for residents, workers, and visitors to the city. The new mixed-use neighbourhood containing over 600 BtR apartments, a 60,000 sq.ft Grade A office building and 7,000 sq.ft of ground floor retail space will help contribute to the aspirational 15-minute city that Southampton wishes to become.

The masterplan is defined by two key routes made through the site: The Maritime Promenade linking the station to the waterfront and Maritime Gardens linking to the Civic Centre. The proposals replace the Toys R Us store and car parking with high quality buildings and landscape influenced by Southampton’s rich maritime history which were highly praised by the planning committee.
