Thinking Outside the Walls

GRID will be presenting a summary document on planning benefits in large planning consents at 190 Strand in October 2017. A book explaining the practices approach to successfully completed urban projects ‘Thinking Outside the Walls’ will be available at the presentation and to order through this website. The thesis of the urban contribution of architecture and the need to intervene in public realm and the setting is key to GRID’s contextual approach – possibly the antithesis of imaged based media promotion of the built environment. The document is a precursor to the 10th anniversary Book due in 2019.

Congratulations to WREN on the 30th Anniversary- providing PI Cover to some of UK’s best practices. A fitting visit to St Pauls with access to the unseen voids, crypts and galleries. Not for the feint hearted.
